Math Textbook Margins is designed to work without an account. We do not collect student names, lesson drafts, answers, source links, or pasted excerpts on a server.
What stays on your device
Teacher drafts, student answers, progress, and theme preference are stored in your browser’s local storage. A lesson’s prompts are encoded in the share link itself. Anyone who receives that link can read the lesson content, so do not put confidential or identifying information in a lesson.
What leaves your device
Opening a source link takes you to the teacher-chosen website, which has its own privacy practices. Printing or saving an answer record uses your browser or operating system; this site does not receive the file.
Technical logs
The hosting platform may process short-lived request data such as IP address, browser details, and timestamps for security and reliable delivery. This product includes no advertising, behavioral analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party runtime scripts.
Your choices
Use “Clear my answers” at the end of a lesson or clear this site’s browser data to remove local records. Teachers can replace a saved draft by editing it in the lesson builder.
Children and classrooms
The tool does not ask for age or an account. Schools and teachers remain responsible for choosing appropriate source links and handling exported answer records under their policies.
